Gypsy Skirt Beautiful patchwork gypsy skirt. Elasticated waist – one size. Waist measures 24 inches to 40 inches (61-101cm). Hips up to 42 inches / 122cm. There is a tie on the waist. These skirts are made in Ubud, Bali, by a skilled dressmaker from individual patches of Batik cloth sewn together. Due to the handmade nature of the garment there will be variation in patches and therefore won’t be the same as the one pictured . This is hand made Balinese crafted clothing, not factory made and is a unique individual product. Colour – each skirt is unique & different, arandom one will be selected. These are made from patches of new batik material. Batik is an art form in itself in Indonesia. Its a technique to dye fabrics using wax to create unique designs. This item is made from new batik material but we also sell items made from increasingly rare vintage batik patches. you can spot the difference between old and new batik by the vibrancy of the colours.
