Glazed Tiles: The tiles used in zellige are often hand-glazed in a variety of colors, including vibrant hues like blue, green, yellow, and red. Intricate Detail: The precision and skill required to cut, shape, and assemble the tiles contribute to the intricate and visually stunning nature of zellige. Origins and History: Ancient Roots: The origins of zellige can be traced back to ancient Roman mosaic techniques. However, it was in Morocco that this art form truly flourished.
