Vietnamese Dan Tranh / 16 chord Zither 80cm **DAMAGED**

Please note this has been damaged in transit but repairable.
One of the wooden string stands has split. It’s a clean split so some wood glue and and clamping it will fix it. The only other damage is cosmetic. There are some marks on the wood on the top where the string stands have rubbed against it in transit. Please see the video i’ve uploaded for more details.

Rare traditional Vietnamese instrument. It has 16 strings and is played with a plectrum or pick. Wooden with inlaid mother of pearl designs depicting scenes from Vietnamese life.

The dan tranh is a plucked zither of Vietnam, similar to the Chinese guzheng/ Japanese koto/ the Korean gayageum/ the Mongolian yatga etc.

It has a long soundbox with the steel strings, movable bridges and tuning pegs positioned on its top.
