We source our products personally so we can vouch for the quality of each item we sell. This item was sourced direct from the makers in Morocco and a fair trade price was paid for their exceptional craftsmanship.

Sabra (or cactus) silk is a unique material which is woven from fibres of the Agave plant, so unlike conventional silk, it is completely vegetarian. In a similiar process to the extraction of flax fibres for linen, the long leaves of the Agave are soaked and then crushed to separate the filaments and fibres for weaving.
