This is imported direct from Turkey. You need to measure the internal diameter of your Ney. Please do this as we are a small company and returns for these due to non-measurement just pushes prices up for everyone. This can be done in a variety of ways. The inside diameter (ID) of a hollow circular object, like a pipe, is a measurement of the distance of a straight line from one point on the inner wall of the object, through its center, to an opposite point also on the inside. The inside diameter is dependent on the outside diameter of the object and its wall thickness The inside diameter of a pipe is calculated by subtracting twice the pipes wall thickness from the total external diameter. This technique gives a lower volume, but a better-controlled sound compared to the technique used with the Persian ney or the Mongolian tsuur, which are played by tucking the mouthpiece under the upper lip and making contact with the teeth.
